What stands out for us are the people that work here - they are nice, knowledgeable and competent, and really friendly with my son who's into animals. I like the fact that they don't rush us or push something onto us when we're there. Rather, there have been a couple instances when they advised us not to get any more fish until we'd tested the water in our aquarium (because a couple fish had recently died). We did, and found a high concentration of ammonia for which they advised the right methods of cleaning and treatment (simple cleaning of the gravel at the base of the aquarium, nothing fancy or expensive).
Horrible experience with groomer Matt. Didn't do half of what I paid for, this was the first time I went to this location. He kept calling me telling me he was behind, that were no other dogs there, I watched for awhile outside, he was mostly outside smoking and on the phone several times and when I complained in store as he went outside AGAIN they ran and got him. The shave job is beyond terrible I called corporate no reply. NEVER AGAIN. stick to Hamilton if you can

Dog owner. I frequent this Petco due to the location. I have never had an issue finding exactly what I need. The staff are always willing to help and I have even run into sales reps here as well for certain products (Blue Buffalo. Will not stop coming here unless it makes no logistical sense.
We also purchased our geckos and related habitat paraphernalia from here, and constantly go back to get crickets.
i was pleasantly surprised to see the store in better shape than it used to be.
We like this store a lot. We own 2 geckos, a tortoise, an aquarium that includes several fish and a lobster, all purchased from PetCo over the past couple years.
I don't have experience with mammals here, but for reptiles and fish, and just for the people, I'd strongly recommend this store.
